2 Euro BU 2025 550th anniversary birth of Michelangelo

The reverse depicts the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, an architectural masterpiece designed by Michelangelo and one of the highest symbols of Christianity. Beneath it appears a reference to the structure of the vault of the Sistine Chapel, which he masterfully frescoed. On the left appears the artist s autograph signature, Michelagniolo, reproduced from original documents.
